MIAMI (May 8th, 2023) - Puerto-Rican singer, songwriter and musician GALE performed the US national anthem at the F1 Miami Grand Prix (watch behind-the-scenes here) surrounded by a crowd of celebrities and athletes. It aired live on broadcast TV in more than 140 countries and was viewed in-person by a sold-out 270,491 person crowd.
Also today GALE releases her focus single “La Mitad,” and new music video, offering a moment of reflection; the most vulnerable moment on the album: “It’s saying, I need to let you go, but a part of me is going to stay with you,” she explains. Watch HERE.
The powerhouse songwriter behind hits with Christina Aguilera (which earned her a first time Latin Grammys “Album of The Year” nomination), Shakira, Juanes, Anitta, Manuel Turizo, and Cardi B, has been heating things up this week with the release of her debut album on Friday (May 12th) “Lo Que No Te Dije” (translated as “What I Didn’t Tell You”).
GALE (pronounced GAH-leh) also attended the Billboard “Mujeres Latinas en la Música” over the weekend (photos here), celebrating all the exciting things happening for the Rolling Stone praised “New It Girl” who dubbed her forthcoming album a “glowing collection of songs that puts [her] knack for pop melodies and confessional lyricism on display.”
GALE, who describes her music as “Bad Bunny meets Dua Lipa meets Avril Lavigne” shows us to the dancefloor with her latest “Nuestra Canción”, which celebrates a #8 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart. Her song “Problemas”, rocketed to the Top 15 on the same chart, and the liberating anthem “Inmadura” sits next to “D-Pic,” a triumphant reminder that GALE isn’t afraid to venture into uncharted lyrical territory.
The Rolling Stone “Act Set to Make it Big in 2023” and Billboard co-signed “Artist to Watch” commands every stage she’s on performing at Miami Beach Pride (with Paloma Mami and Goyo), La Solar Festival in Medellín, and Empire Music Festival in Guatemala. She showcased at Billboard Latin Week and surprised a recent sold-out Juanes stadium show audience in Medellín performing a cover of “Fotografía" to 40,000 people. GALE also performed at 93.1 Amor’s “Amor En Vivo" in NJ and Live In the Vineyard in Napa Valley, CA, with many more live dates to come!
